Udupi: Two persons have been arrested in connection with the theft case at Muloor Sri Sai Varcher building.
The arrested has been identified as Wajid J. (25), a native of Bajpe and Shahnaz (32), resident of Kadiyali in Udupi. The two are accused with stealing cash and gold jewellery from a Kaup apartment.
The theft happened on August 8 while the apartment’s owner, Arjoo Sarfraz, was visiting her sister in Udupi.
The gold jewellery valued at Rs. 1.98 lakh that was kept in the drawer was missing when she got back.
A case was registered at the nearby police station. The accused were then taken into custody by the police.
