Udupi: Two arrested for illegal cattle trafficking

The Economic Offences Wing of Odisha Police has arrested two senior officers of Central Bank of India on the charges of fraudulently sanctioning loans in the name of ineligible persons

Udupi: Gangolli Police officers conducting regular vehicle checks on NH 66 near the Arate bus stand found an incident of illegal cattle trafficking on Friday November 11.

Sub-Inspector Vinay Korlahalli and his team found illegal cow transportation in a pick-up vehicle. The car was seized, and the suspect was taken into custody.

The accused have been identified as Usman and Joseph D’Souza. Shekhar Shetty, another suspect, fled away from the scene.

According to the police, the gang was transporting two cows inhumanely from Mowadi to Kundapur. A case has been registered at Gangolli Police Station.
