Udupi: As part of the consecration ceremony of Lord Rama in Ayodhya in January next year, it is proposed to conduct a one-year-long nationwide seva karyas, said Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawara Matha. “A request will be made to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch Seva Sankalp Diwas in this regard,” he added.
He was speaking after launching the Ayodhya Shri Ram Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Pejawara Matha on Sunday January 15, he said “Bhakti of God and patriotism are not different. Instead of complaining that the Government is using the contribution made in the hundi for other purposes, one should help the downtrodden,and the weak in the society. In this way, you have to serve God’.
“A resolve should be taken up to undertake service activities such as providing shelter to the homeless, helping the sick, adopting students and cows, organising Ramayana lectures, etc.,” he added.
