Udupi: Sachin Moolya (29), a resident of Darkas near Shantigudde Rice Mill in Kalathur, died by suicide by jumping into a neighbour’s well near his house on Sunday November 20.
About four years ago, his elder brother also resorted to suicide by jumping into the same well. He jumped into the well around 4.30 pm, telling his family that his brother was calling him.
The body was lifted from the well at night by Suri Shetty, a social worker from Kaup and Ashok Shetty and a team from Dhendur. There was about 25 feet of water in the deep well.
