Udupi: In a startling revelation, founder of Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) Padmanabh Prasanna Kumar has stated that former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa married Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje in Kerala and then re-married each other in Tirupathi, based on the advice of an astrologer.

Kumar said that he has video proof supporting his claim and that he will bring it to the fore if Chief Minister Siddaramaiah provides him Z plus security.

Addressing a press meet here on Friday January 15, he said that the video CD of their wedding was given to him by BSY’s former assistant Siddalinga Swamy.

Kumar further said that he is demanding for Z plus security in the wake of having death threat from Yeddyurappa. Asked for more proof, he challenged Yeddyurappa and Shobha to take a vow at Dharmasthala that they are not married to each other adding he would quit politics if the duo manages to do that.

Meanwhile, Kumar also alleged that owing to an altercation between him and Yeddyurappa, the latter had abducted him through his aides and kept him as hostage for a week. Kumar further said that he was taken to North Karnataka and was released at Rajasthan-Delhi border in Bhadrapur police limits. He said that had registered a case in Bhadrapur, however, the Bengaluru police did not entertain him when he resorted to them to file a case against Yeddyurappa.
