Karwar: It is condemnable that the Haliyala Municipal officials let stray dogs into the forest in the forest area of National Highway 63.

Madhav Naika, President of Jan Shakti Vedike said that this is not an act of human beings. Earlier, Prashant, Commissioner of Karwar Municipal Council, had allegedly left the dogs at Anashi Ghat, he said.

“Later, the dogs were brought back due to opposition by the people. Dogs are also living beings like us,” he said and added that an action should be taken to control them as it is not right to leave them in the forest and treat them inhumanly.
