Following a tragic incident at the Manjunathaswamy Scheduled Caste Residential Hostel in Davanagere, where a student, Ranganath, lost his life due to a boiler collapse, the police have detained the headmaster and the warden of the school. The incident took place on Tuesday when the victim, following the warden’s instructions, was adding firewood to the boiler when it toppled onto him.
The student’s parents have raised concerns that their son’s death was exacerbated by delayed medical assistance after the accident. Ranganath succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. His father, Ramappa, filed a formal complaint at the KTJ Nagar police station, leading to the detention of the headmaster and warden.
The police are now investigating the matter and have vowed to take appropriate action following the complaint. The incident has sparked outrage, with the community demanding justice for the young student and accountability from the school authorities.
