Manipal: The body of a retired officer of the Central Revenue Department was found in a decomposed state. The deceased has been identified as 83-year-old Gopal Naik, a resident of Perdur.
It is suspected that three days have passed since he died of illness. The deceased lived alone near the Narasinge temple in Dasaratha Nagar.
Police officers from Manipal Police Station were at the scene and conducted legal proceedings. Social worker Nithyananda Ukkadu helped to transport the body to the medical examination center.
