Hubballi: Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the Special Investigation Team must probe Prajwal Revanna’s case from all the angles and justice must be ensured for the victims.
He told reporters here on Friday that Prajwal has surrendered legally in connection with pendrive case and the demand from the people was that it must be probed in impartial manner and ensure justice for the victims. The probe must include how this scam came to light? Who released it? Who had that pendrive? Why they have been arrested. I fact, this issue has been politicised. It was not legal to distribute such materials and even that must be probed by the SIT sleuths.
In regard to the alleged suicide of Chandrashekhar, an employee of the Valmiki Corporation, he said it was a fit case for the CBI probe since there has been involvement of bank. As per the banking rules, any transaction over RS 10 crore must be investigated by the CBI. There was morality in the resignation of Minister Nagendra and the Congress leaders must recall how both Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar spoke while they were in opposition.
Asked about Shivakumar’s claim that his political opponents have got the blackmagic against him, Bommai said he was not aware of it as the accuser knows yaaga or homas.
