Union Minister Joshi Claims Surge in Crimes Under Congress Rule

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi

Hubballi: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Sunday made startling claims, stating that since the Congress came to power, the state witnessed 490 murders and 600 farmers died by suicide.

Speaking to reporters after visiting Anjali Ambiger’s residence and paying respects to her, the minister asserted that during Congress rule, there had been an increase in murders, suicides, and a halt in development initiatives.

Joshi expressed concern over recent tragic incidents, including the brutal murder of Anjali  following Neha’s killing. He emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into Anjali’s case, particularly regarding alleged police negligence despite reported threats.

Highlighting the prevalence of illegal activities and the supply of banned drugs in the state, Joshi accused the government of prioritizing transfer politics over tackling these issues effectively.

He lamented that such brutal murders have instilled fear in parents, making them hesitant to send their daughters to colleges. Joshi urged the state government to take decisive action in response to such incidents.
