Chikkamagaluru: L.G. Parameshwarappa, President of the Dr. Radhakrishnan Multipurpose Co-operative Society representing Education Department employees, emphasized the importance of education as a means to escape poverty and integrate into the societal mainstream.
He made these remarks while honoring the children of association members who achieved top scores in their SSLC and PUC exams during the general body meeting of the Association, which took place at Government Higher Primary School in Basavanahalli.
He conveyed that education serves as a crucial instrument for breaking the cycle of poverty, and society places high value and trust in educated individuals. He further urged children to recognize this and pursue their studies with dedication and diligence.
In the present year, the Dr. Radhakrishnan Multipurpose Co-operative Society of Education Department Employees reported a net profit of Rs 1,35,523. Additionally, it was mentioned that members would receive a dividend of five percent from this profit.
During the event, the Association Secretary Basava Kumar delivered the annual report, and the budget was presented by Director H G Prasanna Kumar. Furthermore, the children of association members who achieved the highest scores in their SSLC and PUC examinations were honored. The event was attended by Association Vice-President Vijayalakshmi, Directors L.T. Ajjayya, Krishnappa, Leelavathi, Lokesh Ismail, A.K. Manappa, R. Ravi, Teacher Annapurnakatty, and various others.
