GP Services at One Click, “Panchamithra” Yet to Make it Mark

Mysuru: Imagine, if you are a living in a Gram Panchayat limits and want to register a complaint related to pothole filled roads, or sanitization in your area, or to avail MGNREGA card, E-Sharm Card or anyother services, you need to visit Gram Panchayat or various government portals. Now the things have made simple, thanks to “Panchamithra” WhatsApp chat service.

The service launched by the department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department on March 3. However the response to this new system yet to pick up due to lack of awareness.

To access the service, individuals need to send a WhatsApp message to 82775 06000. Upon sending the message, they will be prompted to choose between Kannada and English languages. Subsequently, a list of districts will be provided with corresponding numbers for each district. Upon selecting the number corresponding to a specific district, they will be directed to choose the taluk and gram panchayat, followed by the village, in a similar manner.

Once a gram panchayat is chosen, If they wish to access any service, they will be presented with a list of options including tax dues, RDPR services, the 44 services of Nadakacheri, or obtaining receipts.

Individuals can also chose the option to file an RTI application (4(1)A, 4(1)B) or inquire about its status.

They can also apply for and track the status of applications related to various permits and certificates such as construction licenses, road cutting permissions, drinking water connections, no objection certificates, business licenses, establishment of agricultural-based industries or units, MGNREGA job cards, E –Shram cardstax assessments, form 9/11A or 11B, and more.

Additionally, they can apply for birth or death certificates, check or download them, and utilize services such as Gruha Jyothi, Gruha Lakshmi, Arogya Karnataka card registration, and Aadhar card registration or rectification.

In the event of lodging a complaint, individuals will be provided with a list of 12 grievance categories including property tax, drinking water, MGNREGA, street lights, roads, toilets, housing, drainage, form 9/11A, bridges, manual survey, or records.

They will also have the option to upload a photo and location of the grievance, such as a potholes. To access specific services, individuals will be required to register by providing their name, address, and mobile number. Upon registration, they should log in using their mobile number and an OTP received via SMS.

Hailing the initiative, Mysuru ZP CEO KM Gayathri said it has reduced the burden on villagers as they used to go to Gram Panchayat office or scroll through various websites to avail the service.

She said, the complaint lodged regarding various grievances would be directed to the web portal of IPGRS (Integrated Public Grievance Redressal System) of the state government launched two years ago.

In the State 17,776 complaints have been registered and 17,082 complaints resolved since inception of IPGRS.
