Bengaluru: Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has alleged that the state government has been attempting to ensnare him in a case for the past three months, asserting that they are reviving an old case due to a lack of new accusations. Speaking to journalists, Kumaraswamy criticized a recent press conference held by Congress leader Krishnabhairegowda, describing it as a ", Congress toolkit" and suggesting that the script was poorly written.

“I have not stolen anything. There’s no need for lies or assistance from others,” he stated, addressing claims regarding his connection to certain properties. Kumaraswamy clarified, “I acknowledge that it is my wife’s mother's property.”

He further differentiated his situation from that of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, asserting, “I don’t engage in unethical practices. Mr. Krishnabhairegowda can’t shake me." He expressed confidence in his knowledge of ongoing matters within the revenue department, warning that more information will come to light in the coming days.
