Hubballi: Dharawad MP and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the government is aware of the Mahadayi project and is making every effort to have it implemented as soon as possible. “People are demanding through workshops on the details of project implementation,” he said.
“What would the people do if the project was implemented? They will get the water they need in a year. Irrigation Minister Govind Karjol is doing a great job. With the use of modern technologies, efforts are being made to protect the forest during project work,” Joshi said.
Joshi slammed former MLA N. H. Konaraddi for organising a workshop on the Mahadayi project’s implementation, claiming that some unemployed people lead these workshops. Reacting to Joshi, Konnaraddi said, “If we are jobless, Joshi is in power and has a job. We urge that he implement the project in the right spirit.”
