Hubballi: A video has gone viral on the social media sending shockwaves in the police department. The video shows a party in progress at the Navanagar police station in the presence police officials and a few rowdy sheeters!
The video which making the police look bad in the eyes of the public is shocking as the police station is located just a stone’s throw from the office of the Hubballi-Dharwad police commissioner P H Rane. The officers in the commissionerate said it was no party but a belated but solemn Ayudha Puja.
There were allegations that a party was organised by CPI SR Nayak and his team in the police station on Thursday night where liquor and non-vegetarian food were served. Some TV channels had telecast video footages of the party, recorded with a hidden camera. According to sources it is alleged that the inspector threw the party as his transfer was cancelled. It is also reported that the local corporator was also present in the party.
Police commissioner Rane has ordered an inquiry by the DCP (law and order) and for a report in three days.
