Hamida Bano, an Indian woman who was trafficked to Pakistan under the false promise of a job in Dubai in 2002, has returned to India after 22 years. She was tricked by a travel agent and brought to Pakistan’s Hyderabad district instead. After her husband’s death from Covid-19, Bano, who had worked in various Middle Eastern countries, connected with her family in India through a Pakistani YouTuber. She crossed the Wagah Border on Monday, joyfully reuniting with her loved ones.
