Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the investigation into the murder case of Nandi Parvata Ashram Jain Muni Kamakumar Nandi Maharaj in Belgaum will be handed over to the CID.
The CM informed the House about this today (July 19) and clarified that the Jainamuni murder case at Hirekodi in Chikkodi taluk of Belgaum will be handed over to the CID as it is very sensitive.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Jain Muni was killed over financial issues. But there is another dimension in the murder case. In this background, BJP had demanded that this should be investigated by CBI. But now the government has decided to submit it for CID investigation, he said.
