Bengaluru: JDS state president Nikhil Kumaraswamy has emphasized the moral grounds of the alliance between the JDS and BJP, asserting its natural alignment in the political landscape.

Addressing the media after participating in the election campaign alongside BJP candidate Dr. K. Sudhakar in Doddaballapur, on Tuesday Nikhil Kumaraswamy highlighted the intrinsic alliance between the JDS and BJP, describing it as a “moral” partnership. He underscored the shared objective of challenging the Congress party, emphasizing the strength of their alliance in the upcoming elections.

According to Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the JDS and BJP have forged a strong alliance to counter the Congress, which he accused of resorting to unethical practices. He emphasized that their collaboration has united the workers of both parties, who are now marching together in various constituencies across the state.

Expressing his support for the re-election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third term, Nikhil Kumaraswamy highlighted the efforts of leaders from both parties in empowering their respective party workers. He also highlighted the historical ties between the Kumaraswamy family and Chikkaballapur Lok Sabha constituency, expressing confidence that Dr. K. Sudhakar’s candidacy would receive significant support from the electorate.

Responding to the resignation of former MLA Bachegowda from the party, Nikhil Kumaraswamy expressed personal respect for Bachegowda and revealed that efforts were made to dissuade him from resigning. Despite their counsel, Bachegowda chose to resign, a decision Nikhil Kumaraswamy emphasized as a personal one.

The statements from Nikhil Kumaraswamy shed light on the evolving political dynamics in Doddaballapur and the broader political landscape in Karnataka. As the election campaign intensifies, the alliance between the JDS and BJP is expected to play a significant role in shaping the electoral outcomes in the region.
