Kalaburagi: A citizen-friendly health ATM has been introduced, making it a pioneering initiative for the state. Inaugurated by CM Siddaramaiah during the Kalyana Karnataka Festival, this initiative allows the public to access their health test reports conveniently, eliminating the need for waiting in hospital lines and unnecessary expenditures.
Until now, ATMs were commonly associated with cash withdrawals. However, a significant shift has occurred, as ATMs now offer more than just money – they provide health reports. In a first-time endeavor, the state government’s health department has introduced a health ATM in Kalaburagi district. This innovation enables the public to obtain a comprehensive health report in a mere 10 minutes.
During the Kalyana Karnataka Utsav, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah unveiled the inaugural smart health kiosk in Kalaburagi. This innovative facility aims to reduce the necessity for the general public to visit hospitals for health concerns, with a primary focus on benefiting economically disadvantaged individuals.
Under the ‘Arogya Mitra’ program, HP Enterprises has allocated 25 health ATM units to Kalaburagi. This generous gesture by Siddaramaiah on Kalyana Karnataka Day provides the people of Kalaburagi with a significant gift in the form of these ATM units received through a CSR grant.
It’s important to clarify that not all health tests available through the health ATMs can be self-administered by the public. For specific tests like blood and urine tests, a lab technician’s assistance is required. However, common tests such as blood pressure, oxygen levels, and weight can be self-administered. By entering their registered phone number beforehand, individuals can receive their health reports on WhatsApp.
With the health ATM test, you can bypass hospital visits and expenses for minor health concerns, as it provides precise and accurate reports. Moreover, it ensures the safe and confidential storage of a patient’s medical records. The people of Kalaburagi are delighted to have this innovative health ATM service at their disposal.
