Kalaburagi: A tragic incident occurred on the outskirts of Sooguru village in Kalaburagi district, resulting in the death of a 44-year-old woman due to a snake bite.
Vijayalakshmi Telageri, a resident of Sooguru (N) village in Chittapur taluk, had gone to a nearby field for her daily wage labor. As she was returning home after completing her work, she was caught in a sudden downpour.
Seeking shelter from the rain, Vijayalakshmi stopped under a tree, unaware of the danger lurking above. In an unfortunate turn of events, a snake nestled in the tree’s branches bit her on the ear.
Eyewitnesses report that she collapsed immediately after the bite. Bystanders rushed her to the nearest hospital, but it was too late. Doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
