Kalaburagi police have arrested two individuals, including a school teacher, on charges of offenses involving minors in separate incidents across the district.
- In Sulepet, Chincholi taluk, a 42-year-old man, Shivakumar Hadpad, was detained after being accused of misconduct involving a minor. A case was filed at the Sulepet police station, and the accused has been sent to judicial custody.
- In Yadrami, a private school teacher, Hajimalang, was accused of inappropriate behavior towards a Class 5 student. He has been booked under the POCSO Act.
The teacher’s arrest prompted protests and a bandh in Yadrami, organized by residents and local groups. Protesters gathered at the Yadrami police station, calling for strict action against the accused and advocating for stronger protections for children.
