Ballari: In a tragic incident, four persons who had gone to Gokatte to wash their clothes, slipped and fell into water and died while saving each other at Channahalli Tanda in the Taluk on afternoon of Wednesday November 2.
The deceased have been identified as Kavyanjali (21) of Channahalli Tanda, Abhishek (15) of Nandibevoor Tanda, Ashwini (18) and Apoorva (14) of Thumbinakeri Doddathanda.
The four persons had gone to Gokatte near Channahalli Tanda on Wednesday to wash their clothes when Abhishek slipped and drowned in water.
Kavyanjali, who went to rescue Abhishek couldn’t rescue him and drowned. Apoorva and Ashwini also drowned while trying to save Kavyanjali.
The bodies have been handed over to the parents after a medical examination at the spot and a case has been registered at Harappanahalli Police Station in this regard.
