Ballari: There are 137 Gram Panchayats and 108 Village One franchisees are functioning across Vijayanagar District. Every franchisee should compulsorily register 1000 ABHA cards per day, said Additional Deputy Commissioner T. V. Prakash.
He was speaking at Ayushman Bharat -Arogya Karnataka health service cards distribution at a video interaction programme at Keswan Centre of Tahasildar’s Office in the City on Monday October 17. With a population of 13 to 14 lakhs across the District and 108 Gram One franchisees functioning, each franchise has to do one thousand ABHA card registrations per day. This will enable us to reach our target in about 15-16 days, he said.
The Ayushman Bharat Scheme is an ambitious scheme that provides free treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh to the poor public. The franchisees of Village One should work with the cooperation of fair price shop owners as part of issuing health cards under Ayushman Bharat scheme to every citizen across Vijayanagara District, he said.
