Ballari: No one would have spoken about him if they had known how the old Sriramulu was. Sriramulu will get back to what he was in the upcoming elections, said Tourism Minister Anand Singh.
He was speaking at a preparatory meeting of the ST Convention held in the City on Saturday October 22. “Sriramulu had said that he would give it in writing written in blood that he would get reservation within 24 hours due to his confidence and faith in the Government. However, that was not possible due to a technical issue. Everyone is talking about that as an excuse. They don’t know about the old Sriramulu. If they had known, they wouldn’t have spoken. He said the people will teach a lesson to those who criticise the issue of reservation in the next elections.
Sriramulu has approached Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai several times and has put pressure on him to increase the SC/ST reservation. There is a need for this issue to be speedened. I have told him many times that something has to be done. But Ramulu has taught me patience is the weapon and courage is our goal. However, in the 2023 elections, let’s play the game of politics with wisdom,” he said.
