Ballari: Even as speculations are rife that Ram Mandir will be constructed soon at Ayodhya, Karnataka BJP?president Pralhad Joshi has said that the Union government has no plans of beginning construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Joshi said that the case pertaining to Ram Janmabhoomi was pending before the Allahabad High Court and he had no information on Union government taking up the construction of Ram Mandir at the disputed site. He clarified that the Union government had no any such proposal.
With regard to Kalasa-Banduri project, he said that the Prime Minister has held talks with the Goa and Maharashtra chief ministers seeking their co-operation.
“It is now the responsibility of the State government to convince the Opposition in these states. But, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has not been making any such effort,” Joshi said.
He said that the State government should appoint a separate minister for border dispute and such a measure would help in protecting State’s interest.
