Bidar: Basavakalyana has become the first City in the State to install 110 CCTV cameras in 36 circles.
MLA Sharanu Salagara said that no untoward incident should take place in Basavakalyana and the dreams of Basavanna and Mahatma Gandhi should come true.
He was speaking after inaugurating a CCTV control room at the CPI Circle Office in the city on Tuesday November 1. These CCTV cameras will help in cracking down on those involved in criminal acts. This has been made possible due to the BKDB grant here and the precautions taken by the Police Department. For the next three years the contractors should work on it in a hassle-free manner, he noted.
He said the CCTV cameras are essential for the place to become a beautiful tourist destination.
