Bidar: ‘Cattle conservation top priority’

Bidar: Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu B. Chavan has said that the protection of cattle is his top priority and accordingly, a number of schemes are being implemented and facilitated by the Department.

He was speaking after dedicating 68 mobile veterinary vehicles from Kalyana Karnataka region under the Central Government-funded Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme at Nehru Stadium in the City on Tuesday January 31. “Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa and current Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai have responded to all the demands I have made in the direction of helping even dumb animals. He has helped in implementing good schemes in the interest of livestock, he said and added that for the first time in the country, Pashu Sanjeevini ambulances have been released in the State so that 108 ambulances can help the public when they are facing health issues.

“In the first phase, 15 ambulances were launched in the State. Taking note of this service the Central Government has appreciated the project and is proud to have taken the initiative to implement this project in the entire country,” he said.
