Bidar: Amid allegations that people are apathetic to vote, an incident has taken place in Bidar city where a groom in wedding dress came straight to the polling station to exercise his right to vote.

Karthika Patil, who tied the knot with Ankita at his house in Old Navadagi here, came directly to the polling station and cast his vote along with his family.

Election is a festival of Democracy and everyone should vote without fail. So I also clapped my hands and went straight to the polling station and voted, he said.

The groom gave an important message to the society that we should vote for development.
