Bidar: Activists of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike staged a protest in front of the Zilla Panchayat here on Thursday January 12 demanding action against the Officials who misused the Chief Minister’s Fund and 15th Finance Fund funds in the District.
The protest was led by Somanath Mudhol, President of the District Unit of the Organisation, and submitted a memorandum written to the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Panchayat.
The State Government is providing funds to each Taluk Panchayat under the Chief Minister’s Fund and the 15th Finance Fund for the development of villages. Funds have been misused in the District since 2021, he alleged and added that the Officials were showing old works and extorting money.
He alleged that Engineers of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department were involved in the irregularities.
