Bidar: Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu B. Chavan visited the site of a bridge being constructed at Belakuni Village and inspected the works.
When the Minister visited the site he found that the officials of the Department were not present at the spot and he then contacted the PWD Official over the phone and reprimanded him.
It is an important bridge connecting Aurad and Kamlanagara Taluks. As the bridge was dilapidated, water used to enter the fields of farmers every monsoon, causing a lot of crop damage. Public faced severe problem. Therefore, the work was started with Special Grants from the Government. Minister directed that the work should be done qualitatively.
“An officer should be appointed to monitor the work and the officer should be at the site till the work is completed. Further, it should be ensured that the work is done properly,” said the Minister and warned that if the work is poor, he will take strict action.
