Bidar: A PSI and constable of Manthala in Basavakalyan Taluk of the District were caught red-handed by Lokayukta officials while accepting a bribe.
PSI Sheela Nyaman and constable Parasuram Reddy have been arrested.
They asked for bribe of Rs. 7,000 per truck every month to transport sand. A total of Rs. 21,000 was demanded for three lorries and thus the raid was conducted on the basis of a complaint lodged by Irshad Patel, a resident of Kalaburagi. The Manthala Police Station was raided on Wednesday April 4.
