Bidar: Deputy Commissioner has issued an order to initiate a criminal case against Dr. Siddalinga Swamiji of Basavatheertha Mutt in Humnabad taluk. The charge pertains to his involvement in forging a court order and tampering with the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal’s (KAT) verdict regarding a land dispute.
The incident, which occurred on November 17, 2017, involves allegations that the Swamiji fabricated an official KAT order to manipulate a land dispute between complainant Chandrakanta Jaladar and himself. The forged judgment was unlawfully incorporated into the records.
Deputy Commissioner Govinda Reddy’s instructed the Tahsildar to immediately file a criminal case against Dr. Siddalinga Swamiji under Section 466 of the Penal Code, along with other applicable legal sections.
This action aligns with the Kalaburagi Bench of the Karnataka High Court’s instructions, aiming to address the breach of trust in the judicial process and hold accountable those responsible for the manipulation of official records.
