Bidar: Former minister and Aurad MLA Prabhu Chauhan, who remained absent from campaigning for Bidar Lok Sabha MP BJP candidate Bhagwant Khuba, citing health reasons, resumed his political activities immediately after the conclusion of voting.
Chauhan was seen in his assembly constituency, and visited his office at Bonti Tanda in Aurad taluk.
The MLA was opposing the renomination of Bhagwant Khuba from the Bidar Lok Sabha constituency. He demanded that the party should not give him the ticket, but the party high command went with Khuba.
The upset MLA did not turn up for the campaigning and was staying at his residence in Mumbai. It remains to be seen what effect Chauhan’s absence will have on Khuba’s election result.
