KJP supporter sets another stage for rally at Bidar, leaves BSY red faced!

Bengaluru: After a partyworker snatched away the mike from BJP State President BS Yeddyurappa during the Parivarthana rally in Vijayapura some days ago, the BJP strongman was out for yet another embarrassing moment in Bidar.

As per sources, BSY was in Aurad of Bidar to address Parivarthana Rally when one of the party workers and a former KJP leader made sure that there were two stages at the very same venue.

BJP MLA Prabhu Chavan was in-charge of the rally and to his dismay, BSY found that apart from the stage set up by Chavan, there was another stage put up by Dhanaje Jadhav, a BJP leader, who was a member of KJP earlier.

The incident traces its root to Karnataka Janata Party (KJP), which was started and led by Yeddyurappa for a brief period after his fallout with the BJP. Jadhav had contested against Chavan from KJP.

The move of Jadhav led to tug-of-war between BJP and Jadhav’s supporters. The KJP leaders said that they wanted their political sacrifices and loyalties to be noticed and rewarded.

Jadhav and his supporters claim that though the BJP and the KJP merged in 2014, the ones who stood by BSY during his tough patch and joined his party KJP are being neglected now. “There were many of us who were against the merger, but we followed our leader,” said Jadhav while he was unceremoniously taken away from the venue by the police.

BSY, who was left red faced out of anger and embarrassment is said to have spoken his heart out to Bidar MP Bhagavanth Khuba and had also taken district party workers to task for allowing such a shameful event to unfurl.

During the event, BSY openly prevailed upon the crowd to help Chavan win the 2018 polls, thus evidently showing Jadhav and his supporters their place.

“If you are really BJP workers — and true followers of Narendra Modi, then let’s work together to take forward his goals successfully,” Yeddyurappa told the gathering.

Chavan told reporters later that there was no differences and that they were all together.
