Kalaburagi: Following the KEA examination irregularities case, a new scandal has emerged. Allegations of improprieties have surfaced concerning the recruitment of teachers, as the education department failed to conduct counseling despite their inclusion in the final selection list.

The education department has scheduled counseling sessions for the recruitment of graduate primary teachers, but it has prioritized candidates at the bottom of the merit list, while those with the highest percentages have been excluded. Job seekers have raised concerns, alleging that this approach has been unjust to many.

The recruitment process for 13,000 teachers is currently in progress throughout the state, including at the Deputy Director of Public Instruction’s office in Kalaburagi. Strikingly, the counseling list does not include the names of individuals who are on the merit list. Candidates have voiced their grievances, claiming that the department has omitted over 80 candidates from the list.

Protesters gathered in front of the DDPI office in Kalaburagi, accusing the recruitment process for teachers of being marred by irregularities. They expressed their frustration over their names being excluded from the counseling sessions, despite their inclusion in the final selection list for recruitment. They called for the education department to provide a clear explanation for the removal of their names from the list without a valid justification.
