Kalaburagi: Congress candidate Venkatamma Dilip Kumar has won the Chincholi local Municipality by-election in the District.
Her daughter-in-law Venkatamma Dilip Kumar won the by-election to the seat vacated by the untimely death of Congress corporator Vidyavathi Narasappa Gali by securing 267 vacant votes.
BJP’s Sujatha Janardhan Natikar secured 179 votes while JD (S)’ Mumtaz Jabbarmi got 26 votes. Congress candidate Venkatamma Dilip Kumar won by a margin of 88 votes.
