Kalaburagi: A BJP worker from Marathura Village in Shahabad Taluk was allegedly assaulted by Congress workers near Ambedkar Circle. Yallalinga Poojary was the young man who was assaulted.
He was assaulted by Congress workers when he was on his way after campaigning for BJP candidate from Kalaburagi Rural constituency, Basavaraj Mattimood. He was campaigning near Ambedkar Circle in the village, and was allegedly attacked for shouting slogans in favour of the BJP.
The injured youth has been admitted to JIMS Hospital in Kalaburagi and is undergoing treatment. A case has been registered at Shahabad Police Station.
