Kalaburagi: The cooker gift politics, which made a noise in Belagavi Rural Constituency, has now entered the Chittapur Reserved Constituency.
While in Belagavi, Congress MLA Laxmi Hebbalkar has courted a political controversy by gifting cookers to women, in Chittapur Constituency, Former Minister and sitting MLC Sunil Waliapure of the BJP has now grabbed attention by distributing cookers to Stree Shakti Sanghas.
As the countdown for the Assembly elections begins, the number of aspirants in the Kamala Camp of Chittapur Constituency is on the rise and they are trying their best to attract the attention of the rural people by travelling separately.
Meanwhile, MLC Sunil Waliapure, who has expressed his desire to contest from Chittapur Constituency, said it is no secret that he has been touring the Constituency for the last five to six months.
Waliapure has sparked a controversy by distributing cookers to women’s associations in various villages in the form of a memento on his birthday.
