Kalaburagi: Cops busy with election duty: Robbery everywhere

Kalaburagi: In the last two days, a series of house-breaking incidents have taken place at Devi Nagara on Alanda Road in Kalaburagi.

On May 10 and May 11, when elections were held, thieves broke into Devi Nagara locality for two days and burgled six houses.

While two of the locked houses were burgled, in four other houses, the burglars broke open the door without the knowledge of the family members and broke into the house and stole the cash and gold ornaments.

On seeing the police working towards the security of elections and counting of votes, the miscreants committed the crime at the same time.

More than eight bikes parked in front of the house have been stolen over the past week. Overall, a series of house burglaries and bike thefts in Devi Nagar have forced the residents of the locality to stay awake throughout the night.
