Kalaburagi: The State Congress leaders will felicitate the newly-elected AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge on December 10 in the District. The leaders are planning to discuss several problems with him. The leaders will discuss the strategies to be used by Congress if the BJP, which is in power, moves forward with the State budget session and proposes an interim budget in January before the expected March or May 2023 Assembly elections. Kharge will be on a day-long visit to the District.
A grand procession from the airport to Nutana Vidyalaya Grounds, where he will be honoured for his election to the top party post and for his role in bringing an amendment to Article 371 J of the Constitution, has been planned by Congress workers in Kalyana Karnataka.
Senior officials are expected to participate in the programme, including KPCC President D. K. Shivakumar, CLP leader Siddaramaiah, and AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, who is in charge of the Congress in Karnataka. The State’s top officials also plan to have a discussion on selecting candidates for the upcoming elections.
