Koppal: Congress candidate Amaregowda Patil Bainapura said the BJP Government had removed several schemes of Former CM Siddaramaiah like Anna Bhagya, Krishi Bhagya, Ksheera Bhagya, and Vidyasiri, etc.
Speaking at a campaign meeting at Honagaddi in the Taluk, he said that the BJP Government has saved the Annabhagya scheme and removed all the schemes. “Had the Annabhagya scheme been removed, the BJP would not have been allowed into the village. Under Siddaramaiah’s ambitious Vidyasiri scheme, Rs. 1,500 per month will be given to children who are deprived of hostels. Rs 15,000 for 10 months was given, he noted and added that it has now been cancelled.
“Is it unfair to the rich?” he asked, adding that it was unfair to the children of poor farmers and labourers. The children of the rich do not apply for hostels. In this context, we need to introspect on what kind of governance is required,” he said.
