Koppal: For the past one week, villagers of Bachanala have been worried about vomitting and dysentery. At present, more than 20 patients from this village are undergoing treatment at Tavaregara and Gangavathi hospitals.
A team of Taluk officials on Wednesday November 30 visited Bachanala Village, where the Health Department has started a temporary clinic. They got information from the villagers about vomitting and dysentery. At present, the water from the borewell has been stopped and the water of the river is being supplied to the villagers under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme to the Village.
NREGA Assistant Director Ninganagouda Hirehal informed that a temporary clinic has been set up and the public should seek treatment, and also should maintain cleanliness in the area around their houses on a daily basis. The PDO of the Gram Panchayat should clean the drains of the village and apply bleaching powder. At the same time, it should be ensured that there is no drug problem in the clinic, he added.
