Koppal: Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah and other Congress leaders had attended the Assembly Session with flowers on their ears when Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai presented the Budget, recently. A similar incident took place at the General Body Meeting of the Town Municipal Council in City, where a BJP Member was seen holding a flower on his ear and protesting.
Somanna Halli, a BJP Member, said his ward was not getting funds under the Town Muncipality. There is discrimination in the allocation of funds to the Ward. No development work has taken place. There are Congress MLAs in the Constituency.
Alleging that the ward was not getting any funds due to this, a protest was held at the General Body Meeting meeting of the Municipal Corporation on Tuesday February 28 with flowers on their ears.
