Koppal: There was a rapid rain in Kushtagi’s Old Nerebenchi Road creating chaos as the water of overflowing main storm water drain entered the residential area. Some houses submerged and this created mayhem.
In this Nerebenchi Road, the internal drainage work caused the main storm water drain to overflow and water gushed into many houses. As the water overflowed, the anxious residents brought it to the notice of Municipal Chairman Gangadhar Swami Hirematha. It was then the Chairman rushed with Municipality workers and cleared the water blockage using JCB.
People in general and vehicle users were inconvenienced as it rained accompanied by thunder and lightning for over an hour with storm water drain overflowing on to the road.
