Koppal: In a tragic incident, a man assaulted his son with a sickle at Pattalachinthi Village in the Taluk after he objected to his father’s decision to transfer the property in his daughter’s name.
Shankrayya Mallaiah Gowrimath (32), who was assaulted by his father is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bagalakote.
His father Mallaiah Gowrimath had offered to transfer the land in his daughter’s name. But his son rejected. His son Shankrayya objected to this development. The dispute over the distribution of property had been going on frequently. When his son’s harassment for property increased, his father, Malaiah, got angry and hit him with a sickle.
His son, who was in bloodshed, is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bagalakote and in a life-threatening condition. Meanwhile, his father Mallaiah came to Hanumansagara Police Station and surrendered.
A case has been registered at Hanumansagara Police Station.
