Koppal: Muzrai, Haj and Wakf Minister Shashikala Jolle has instructed the District Administration and Religious Endowment Department to take steps to ensure that arrangements are made so that devotees are not inconvenienced as 2 lakh Hanuman maladharis are expected to visit the historic Anjanadri Hill Anjaneyaswamy Temple on December 5.
The Minister held a detailed meeting with top officials and public representatives of the District organised at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Koppal on Wednesday November 16. She was later speaking after inspecting the site at the foot of Anjanadri Hill to provide basic amenities to the Maladharis. Every year Hanuman Maladharis come from different parts of the State and immerse the garland.
She said, “Our aim is to provide all facilities to the devotees at the site with an aim to avoid inconvenience due to lack of necessary amenities and to proclaim the glory of our place across the country. She said officials have been instructed to make all arrangements so that devotees are not inconvenienced in any way.
She instructed the officials to provide clean drinking water and good meals to the devotees. CCTV cameras and additional police security should be provided for the safety of devotees coming from different districts. “Also, lighting arrangements will be made in all important areas so that devotees can move smoothly at night,” she added.
