Koppal: More than 12 two-wheelers were damaged after a huge tree fell on them, disrupting traffic on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Gangavati City of the District on evening of Tuesday November 22.
The incident took place near Malleswaram Photo Studio in the City. It was a 50-year-old tree that was a shadow for roadside shops. There was a scarcity of soil in roots.
As a result of incessant rains of several months, the base of the tree had become loose. The electricity was cut off for three hours after a tree fell on them.
