Koppala: A day after Congress leaders and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge stoked a controversy by calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “venomous snake”, Vijayapura BJP candidate Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has questioned if Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a “poisonous snake”, is Sonia Gandhi a ‘Vishkanya’.”
Yatnal, who raised the issue while campaigning for BJP candidate Halappa Achar from Yelaburga Constituency, said, “Everyone has accepted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a global leader. Is it right to compare such a leader to a snake?,” he asked.
Yatnal also accused Sonia Gandhi of working as an agent of China and Pakistan, and thus tarnish India’s image. Yatnal also questioned whether Sonia Gandhi was a Vishkanya and said it was a tragedy that Maun Singh (Manmohan Singh) became the Prime Minister.
“Siddaramaiah says Lingayats are corrupt. It is not right to call the entire community corrupt. If the Congress has guts, let them announce Lingayat CM, he dared.
Yatnal said that Rahul Gandhi is the star campaigner of the BJP.
