Koppal: Manjula Amaresh Karadi has been given the BJP ticket from Koppal Assembly constituency. She is the daughter-in-law of Koppal MP Sanganna Karadi and the BJP High Command has surprised Manjula Karadi by announcing the ticket for her in the women’s quota calculations.
In Koppal Assembly constituency, there was a huge fight between leader C. V. Chandrasekhar and MP Sanganna Karadi for the ticket. Manjula Karadi’s name did not figure in the bjp’s internal survey report, District Core Committee and internal BJP aspirants’ voting in the constituency recently. Her name was also not there in the State Core Committee.
Even in the first and second list published by the High Command, the name of the candidate for Koppal Constituency was not announced.
There have been several political developments in the constituency since last week. The MPs were adamant on tickets and there were discussions on their resignations. Finally, the BJP High Command calculated and announced a ticket for Manjula Karadi, the daughter-in-law of the MP, under the Panchamasali community quota.
