Raichuru: The Karnataka Public School roof fell at PW Camp in the Town injuring two children on Friday October 28.
The injured students have been identified as Namana Raghavendra Korekara (7) and Appaji Hanumesh Venkatapura (7). The two students were reportedly studying in Class II.
The students, who were sitting on the front bench, suffered head injuries after a layer of plaster made on the roof fell on them. The injured students have been admitted to a local private hospital and are recuperating.
Former MLA Pratapgouda Patil and Block Education Officers visited the spot and enquired about the well-being of the students.
The building, which was constructed eight years ago, did not have a wearing coat on top of which the water could not flow and the plaster layer of the roof had fallen off.
